were the turtle and snake the naturalists brought along to pet.
After lunch in the park it was back to the classroom.
There Gene and Adam used a few of the students’ photos to
demonstrate the use of Keynote software. Complete with text
boxes, editing tools, fonts, colors and Ken Burns panning
techniques, they were set to share what they had discovered
in a high-tech presentation.
This special project enabled fifth graders to learn by
integrating science, technology, nature and creativity under
the professional expertise provided by Yo Art!. The outcome
included two happy Angel Oak teachers and many students
with a hands-on experience for future career opportunities. NK
