Lowcountry Giving Day O Show your support on May 5, 2015 n Tuesday, May 5, 2015, the Coastal Community Foundation will once again sponsor a special one-day online giving event called Lowcountry Giving Day. Over a 24-hour period several anonymous donors will match online gifts to a select group of nonprofit organizations in the Lowcountry. The Kiawah Conservancy is proud to be included among the participating nonprofits this year. What is our fundraising goal? The Kiawah Conservancy hopes to raise $20,000 in online donations from the one-day event. Along with a donor match already in place for $10,000, our total fundraising goal for the day is $30,000. Funds raised through the Lowcountry Giving Day will go to support the Kiawah Conservancy’s commitment to: • Preserving key habitat areas; • Restoring and enhancing habitat on developed properties; • Conducting and supporting research; • Identifying and closely monitoring threats to Kiawah’s native flora and fauna; and • Providing conservation-focused educational opportunities. When, where, and how do I give? • We will place a special Lowcountry Giving Day donation link on our website that will become active on May 5. • Mark your calendar for May 5. On May 5, go to http://www.kiawahconservancy.org/ and click the Lowcountry Giving Day donation link. • Use the Lowcountry Giving Day donation form to make a gift to the Kiawah Conservancy. Only amounts of $25 or more are eligible for matching. Photo by Sue Corcoran 32 How can I get more information?
