How Can You Help? • Consider the benefit to wildlife as you design and install landscaping and as you edit or make additions to mature landscaping. • Look to the Naturally Kiawah Demonstration Garden in Night Heron Park for examples of attractive plantings that benefit our wildlife. • Avoid invasive plants that provide no benefit to our wildlife and threaten the viability of the Island’s existing native plant communities. • Remove tallow trees, which are invasive and present an immediate threat to our fresh water wetlands. Contact the Kiawah Conservancy or Kiawah Island Community Association Land Management Department for information. • Consider a fee simple gift of an undeveloped lot. Contact the Kiawah Conservancy to explore how you can make a donation of land. • Visit our website www.kiawahconservancy.org, like the Kiawah Conservancy on Facebook and follow @KiawahConserv on Twitter. • Keep informed on current events by signing up for our Enewsletter, The Conservancy Connection. • Attend our free monthly Conservation Matters educational programs. • Support the Kiawah Conservancy in this important mission. Monitary donations are a quick and easy way to show your support. • Get involved as a volunteer. Join a Kiawah Conservancy committee. • Contact the Kiawah Conservancy with questions, comments or suggestions at 843-768-2029 or [email protected]. 40
