Numbers 95 Puppy Love One of the things that is great about Kiawah is the enjoyment it brings my dogs and therefore me! My husband and I raise guide dog puppies. We always have a puppy we are training, plus two retired breeder dogs and one career-change dog. Kiawah makes a great backdrop for our annual Christmas card shoot. These photos were taken at the Cinder Creek and Inlet Cove docks. - Patricia Gregory No. 96 Imagination, Curiosity and the Fountain of Youth I love that on Kiawah my grandkids can allow their imaginations to expand. Consider the bike trip to the eastern edge of the Island where they painted themselves in pluff mud (is it really good for your complexion?) and danced as creatures from another world. I love that before impending storms, flocks of snowy egrets arrive to squabble among themselves for the best branches then settle down like so many silken scarves on the trees around Egret Pond. I love that people of a certain age, considered elsewhere to be long in the tooth, over the hill, just about finished, retain their vigor and curiosity on Kiawah. If not the location of the fountain of youth, Kiawah is the place for active longevity. That is a condition to love. - Joan Avioli
