Gymnastics? Dance? Figure Skating? Martial Arts? You might have done one of these as a child or teenager. Or, you might have never done one but always wanted to? Well, now is your time to recreate or create the chance of getting on stage to perform a ROUTINE! Fitness organizations offer an opportunity to do creative fitness routines. “Tri-Fitness offers the opportunity for anyone who wants to challenge themselves and be creative to perform a routine,” states Tri-Fitness president and founder Al Rosen. In Tri-Fitness, the routine is performed on a cheerleading floor (foam and carpet) for safety and the athletes are judged in 5 different components: strength moves, flexibility, choreography, execution, and overall performance. Similar to the sport of gymnastics, the routine is scored on a 10 point scoring system with a low of 5 and a high of 10.0. Rosen explains, “we use 8-10 judges to score the routines and all of them have backgrounds in choreography, dance, gymnastics, etc. But, more important than the score, it is an opportunity for an athlete to challenge themselves while having fun.” “I first started training for Tri-Fitness in 1998 and did a fitness routine at the W ܛ
