Expert Advice in Health and Nutrition
Hello Ms. Abby,
I am an overweight 27- year old female. I am not sexually
active so there is no way I could be pregnant, plus my period
has been iffy since it started when I was nine years old. I
had a regular period for about two or three years before it
started to come on sporadically or not at all. I haven’t had a
menstrual period since sometime last year or so, though I do
spot on a rare occasion. I came to see Dr. Chi last year, or the
year before, and he did tell me what pills to take. But, due to
my recent move, I have lost the paper he gave me and haven’t
been taking the pills
I have in my cabinet.
Would you be able to
recommend something
for me to take, either of
his or something that
you have at the store?
It would be much
appreciated. Thank you
for your time.
Sincerely, Aleah
Dear Aleah,
Dr. Chi recommends
Myomin and Chi-F to balance hormones. These
two products will help
regulate your menstrual
cycle. Often, cessation of your menstrual cycle is a sign of Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, which you should have your doctor rule
out. PCOS is related to your insulin levels. So have your A1C
and blood glucose levels checked. Also check the hormones FSH
(Follicular Stimulating Hormone) and LH (Luteinizing Hormone).
Dr. Chi might have suggested “Diabend” to correct for any insulin
resistance, which is closely related to estrogen imbalance as well
as PCOS. Feel free to contact me for a complimentary consultation. I also offer free hormone seminars on a regular basis. Check
our website for dates.

Hello, I am a 51- year old woman and my
doctor told me my liver is doing quite
bad (fatty liver). I am overweight and
trying to lose weight. I asked him about
medicines and he said there is none
other than losing weight to slow the process. Are there any natural medicines to
heal the liver?
My gallbladder was just removed in
December and I think that made it worse.
Any recommendations? Thanks!
Sarah
Hi Sarah
In my experience, the one product that has worked amazingly well
for all liver related challenges is Dr. Chi’s “Liver Chi” (in capsules or
granules to make a tea). It has removed “fatty liver” and reduced
viral load to zero in my Hepatitis clients!! Take it until your doctor
says you no longer have a
“fatty liver”!
Sincerely,
Abby
----------------------------------Dear Abby
Can you tell me anything
about the relationship of
Vitamin K and Warfarin? Does Warfarin
destroy Vitamin K, which
I understand is necessary
for calcium to be absorbed into bone? I have been told that I
should take Warfarin for the rest of my life since I am subject
to blood clots, but I also lost a substantial amount of bone
density. I was told by one nurse practitioner that Warfarin
is “nasty stuff” and that one of the side effects is bone loss.
This seems reasonable since most of the information about
Warfarin says to limit Vitamin K because it interferes with the
action of Warfarin.
However, none of the side effect information along with the
Warfarin tablets mentions bone loss. Is there any natural sub-

stance, without side effects,
that will help prevent clots the
way warfarin is supposed to?
Harry
Dear Harry
Vitamin K inactivat es Warfarin.
We have a biological requirement for Vitamin K, but do not
have a “need” for Warfarin.
Recent studies show Warfarin
has a marginal advantage over
aspirin in preventing strokes, but
in producing fatal hemorrhages. Overall there were no differences
in mortality. Frankly, I’d stick with aspirin (1/2 baby aspirin daily).
Other “blood thinning” alternatives that can be used in addition to
aspirin, which I think will further reduce the likelihood of blood clots
without the adverse effects of Warfarin, include “Vein
To help with maintenance of bone density, I suggest New
Chapter’s “Bone Strength” and a Vitamin D3 blood level
of 65-70 ng/ml.
