using a limited and straightforward set of construction techniques is able to construct more rapidly. One of the young architects in China that have used repetition positively to meet these cycles of construction repeatedly, using a set of forms and material/structural combinations from one project to another is the Shanghai based practice of Atelier+ led by Zhang Bin and Zhou Wei. Atelier+ has, since the early 2000’s, utilized steel and glass construction combined with a number of different surface material treatments such as aluminum, stone and steel in their architecture, advancing this approach through their work. Starting from earlier projects such as the Building C – College of Architecture and Urban Planning Tongji University, Shanghai (2004) and the SinoFrench Centre, Tongji University, Shanghai (2006) to most recently the Anting Sports and Cultural Center in Anting, Jiading, Shanghai, the firm has relied on the scale and efficiency provided by a the structurally expressive use of steel combined with the use of different surface materials to create architecture with character. In their most recent project for the Anting Sports and Cultural Center, steel and glass is used throughout the project, but advancements have been made in this technique through the large-scale application of stone. The Center is located in Anting, an urban town in the northwest of Shanghai in an area known as a center of the Chinese automotive industry. The site of the Center is adjacent to one of the many rivers and highways SOKAK KOTUNDA KONUMLU, ÖNÜNDEKİ MEYDANA BAKAN KAFESİYLE
