şartları arasında bir denge kurmayı hedefliyor.
SFA son on yılda mesleki anlamda büyük bir ilerleme
kaydederken, Shahira Fahmy Mısır’ın önde gelen
mimarları arasında yerini aldı. Genç mimar, ofisinin
başarısını şu sözlerle açıklıyor: “SFA, kentlerden
malzemelere kadar her ölçekten fikrin test edildiği
bir laboratuvar olarak çalışmaktadır. Projenin her
bileşeni ayrıştırılıp, her açıdan tekrar incelenir.
Bu rasyonel analiz sonrasında yaratıcılık, insan
etkileşimlerini belirli bir vizyon ve fiziksel işlevsellik
bazında dengeye oturtmak adına devreye sokulur.”

award-winning residential complex Allegria, Westown
Partnership project and several other projects and
commercial developments including Greg Norman Golf
Course, The Smart Village, Pyramids Park, the British
International School and the German School. An
increasing number of new projects on the suburban
axis connecting the two major cities of Egypt creates a
need for commercial and urban spaces.
Shahira Fahmy Architects was responsible for the urban
design and landscape design of this large scale retail
center. Shahira Fahmy, born and raised in Cairo, got her
architecture degree at the Faculty of Engineering at Cairo
University in 1997 and her master’s degree in Architecture
from the same university in 2004. She established her
design office in 2005 focusing on visionary, designcentered architecture, urban design, interior and product
design. Her office provides design solutions in various
scales with an emphasis on sustainable and functional
concepts, rethinking the ways in which people interact
with spaces, objects, and each other. Her work attempts
to create a balance between new spatial concepts
and the existing context with an emphasis on culture,
tradition, urban morphology, climate and nature.
