özelliğini teşkil ediyor. Bütün olarak bakıldığında
kültürel sembolizmle yüklü bir ortamda, net
bir tasarım karakteri kurgulamak üzerinde
odaklanıldığı görülüyor. Böylece T evi, İstanbul’un
dinamik kentsel yapısı içerisinde hızla el
değiştiren sermayeyle sürekli farklılaşan tasarım,
zevk ve fikirler arasında, modernitenin talepleri ile
yerel özellikleri dengeleyen stratejileriyle ön plana
çıkan projeler arasında yerini alıyor.

feel that forms the basis of the projects natural
sensibility. They are complemented by wide plank
wood parquet flooring also of a rough, rustic texture
as a design ensemble. On top of these are layers of
crisply defined geometries consisting of furniture
such as shelving and seating that embedded in
these textures. The natural surfaces in stone and
wood seem to envelop the furniture on top of them.
Interestingly the pieces of furniture that stand out
from these textures are the marble tables. The rough
grey granite surface of the walls is complemented
by the smooth marble surfaces on the tables and in
around the staircase flooring. The center dining table
and the low table in the living room have visually
distinctive grained marble tops. These dark grey
marble surfaces with their natural veined patterns are
present through these circulation areas continuing
onto the upper floor gallery. The dark grey marble
is combined with wood wall panels arranged in a
square geometry in this staircase wall and the fair
fare concrete surfaces on the adjacent gallery wall.
