ümüş-Su Villaları Bodrum’un beldesi
Gümüşlük’teki, 8000 metrekarelik arazi
üzerinde bulunan beş villadan oluşuyor.
Yaklaşık 4000 yıllık kültürel ve tarihsel
geçmişe sahip Gümüşlük, ismini Myndos’un
arkasındaki tepelik uzun burnun ucundaki gümüş
ocaklarından alıyor. Gümüşlük beldesinde, Myndos
antik kentini çepeçevre kuşatan surlar yıkılmış olsa
da bazı kalıntılara rastlamak hala mümkün. Yerli
ve yabancı turistlerin uğrak yeri olan bölge, doğal
güzellikleri ve Akdeniz mimarisindeki yapılarıyla
Türkiye’nin önemli tatil beldelerinden biri.
Gümüş-Su Villaları Gümüşlük sırtlarında güneye
bakan bir yamaç üzerinde yer alıyor. Kaynağını
arazinin kuzey sınırını belirleyen doğal sit
alanındaki dağlardan alan ve kayaların aralarında
küçük bahçeler oluşturan bir dere arazinin önemli
bir özelliğini oluşturuyor. 2012’de inşaatına
başlanıp 2014 senesinde tamamlanan tasarımın
proje yöneticiliğini Mehtap ve Demir Obuz
yürütücüğündeki Demirden Design üstlenirken,
mimari projesini ise Alişan Çırakoğlu ve Ilgın
Avcı yönetimindeki Çırakoğlu Mimarlık yaptı.

he recently completed Gümüş Su Villas, 2014, by Çırakoğlu
Architects of Istanbul represent the continuing advancement of
contemporary architecture in the Bodrum Peninsula on Turkey’s
Aegean coast. This project located on a 8.000 square meters
plot over the hills of Gümüslük Village, Bodrum consists of five
residences or vacation homes in an area known for cultural tourism and
eco-tourism. Gümüşlük itself consists of a tranquil harbor and bay with
over the 4000 years of cultural history. It is a seaside village and fishing
port that is situated on the remains of the ancient Carian city of Myndos.
Its name originates from the ancient silver (gümüş) mines in the area.
The village is a national and international tourist destination and one of
the prominent holiday villages of Turkey known for its natural beauty and
Mediterranean architecture.
Gümüş Su Villas are located on the south-facing slope on the Gümüşlük
hillsides. One of the striking features of the site is the stream passing
through the grounds with its rocky banks that creates a natural zen garden
on the sloping landscape. Construction on the project was started in 2012
and finalized in 2014. The project’s owners undertook project management,
Demirden Design of Istanbul under the supervision of the partners Mehtap
and Demir Obuz. Çirakoğlu Architects of Istanbul conducted the architectural
design. After completing his bachelor and masters studies at Middle East
Technical University, Alişan Çırakoğlu founded his Istanbul based firm
Çırakoğlu Architects in 2002. In 2008, he became partners with architect Ilgın
Avcı and has since carried out many award-winning projects. Their approach
seeks to understand the unique factors surrounding each project and is
