Projeler/Projects: Reims This façades is intended to aid in the diffusion and transmission of both daylight and to provide a distinct visual affect in day and night conditions. In historical settings and worldwide these types of large translucent marble façades have started to become popular made possible by computerized production methods in the detailed 3 dimensional cutting of marble. The Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript at Yale University, designed by Skidmore, Owings and Merrill in 1963 is the perhaps the most famous example in the 20th century. Similar recent examples include the proposed designs by David Adjaye for the furniture producer Moroso’s headquarters, Udine, Italy, 2010, Kjellgren Kaminsky’s Macedonian Museum, 2011, Skopje and Stanton Williams winning competition proposal for the Musees des Nantes Musée d’Art, Nantes, France, 2011. Chipperfield’s façades consist of large square marble slab tiles set within horizontal mullions that envelop the building in a white coat. Light is allowed to seep in during the day and defines the internal rooms at night. The success of this design is due to this subtle integration of materials in the straightforward yet elegant architecture where light is the key element to be shaped and dispersed. Daylight is the primary source of exhibition lighting, provided by light-diffusing TASARIMI HALEN DEVAM EDEN PROJENİN, 2015-2017 YILLARI ARASINDA TAMAMLANMASI BEKLENİYOR.
