Luma Mat cilalanmış beyaz Carrara mermerinden yapılmış aydınlatmalar Marsotto Edizioni için Joel Berg tarafından tasarlanmış. Üç farklı boyda bulunan Luma, ince silindirik çeperlerden oluşuyor. Designed for Marsotto Edizioni by Joel Berg, the Luma series benefit from the translucent qualities of marble. only enable the use of intricate and delicate patterns in lighting design, but also allow the material to be cut as thin and in the exact shape it was designed. Marble, a material traditionally chosen for its inherent qualities like color and texture, now interacts with light and uses light to bring out its own beauty. ‘Serafini’ lighting products designed by Raffaello Galiotto bear these properties brought about with the use of high technology production methods. How light brings out the contrast in the patterns of marble as it flows through it can be observed in ‘Flamma 16’. Furthermore, the surfaces cut in irregular shapes and different thicknesses provide a unique play of light and shadow. These qualities of natural stone have always been used in the context of architectural design. Impressive spaces have been created especially with onyx. Yet the relationship of stone with light had never been reduced to its current scale, entering our daily lives. Joel Berg’s ‘Luna’ colection for Marsotto Edizioni is a perfect example of this smaller scale with its 15 cm diameter TEMMUZ - AĞUSTOS 2013 / JULY - AUGUST 2013 • NATURA 33
