Networking: Through the Sisterhood and Beyond

2:00 pm - 3:00 pm | Room: Dade

Presenter: Crista Arias

Many times, we don’t realize that we already have a strong network that reaches beyond the borders of our university. The sisterhood is expansive and continues well after graduation. The most important thing you can do is understand how to utilize the sisterhood as a professional network. As a sister, you have the opportunity to change your job search narrative and professional strategy. Whether you are a recent graduate or have a few years left in school, the sooner you perfect these skills, the more competitive you become. In this interactive workshop, you will develop the skills necessary to use the professional network beyond the collegiate level pre and post-graduation. We will map out your social and professional circles to visualize your networks and recognize the areas in which you have connections and the areas of growth (Circles: Mentors, sisters/friends, Student organizations, Academics, Community Engagement). What are your areas of growth and what will you do to strengthen them?
