IN
1983, Mike Sheehan founded Sheehan Cycle & Marine. With
five lines of products, including Honda, Polaris, Kawasaki,
Arctic Cat, Can-Am and Ski-Doo, Mike’s shop evolved into a mega
store the likes of which hadn’t been seen in Watertown, South
Dakota.
Sheehan Trailers’ customer base increased tremendously by
having a huge selection, full parts and service departments and,
most importantly, a passion for customer service. Due to his wide

variety of customer needs, Mike added trailers, campers and golf
carts to his inventory over the years to keep up.
By 2015, Mike had his fill of the powersports business. He decided
to sell that segment of his company, but retained the trailers,
campers and golf carts to form a new business, Sheehan Trailers.
He held onto the business for another year before selling it to
Matt Steen in 2016.
