Gen-Y Hitch Introduces GH-1325 Torsion Hitch Gen-Y Industries’ GH-1325 is a torsion hitch with built-in rubber torsion suspension designed to smooth the ride and reduce stress on the vehicle. The torsion hitch has a towing capacity of up to 21,000 pounds and a tongue weight capacity of up to 2,400 pounds. It has three adjustment positions, including 3-inches up and 9-inches down or vice versa, and a 2.5-inch shank. With rubber torsion hitches, only 10% of the trailer inertia transfers to the truck, compared to 100%, for a hard connection hitch, according to Gen-Y. The tow vehicle and trailer track independently for better control and added safety. The kit comes with the receiver hitch assembly, triple ball mount, pintle lock and two pins. Both of these products are made by “Littlefuse.” 1) The Lift Gate Battery Charger is designed to boost the voltage of the battery on the trailer when the trailer battery is mounted several feet away from the tow vehicles alternator. This charges the trailer mounted battery much faster while the trailer is being pulled down the road. It even works while the tow vehicle is turned off. 2) The Battery Master Shut Off Switch is designed to turn off when the trailer mounted hydraulics are not in use. This minimizes amp draw on the battery, while not in use, which helps maximize the batteries ability to keep a charge. Both of the products are rated IP 67, meaning they are water resistant and can be mount outside of a toolbox.
