Cottrell has a long history with a humble
beginning, but its determination, perseverance and
engineering innovations quickly catapulted the company into
becoming the most respected car hauler manufacturer in the
industry.
Today, after 42 years in the business, Cottrell employs over
1,000 people in 350,000 square feet of manufacturing space at
a facility located on their 140-acre complex in Gainesville, GA.
It is the largest car haul manufacturer in North America.

“Car haulers are extremely important to us. We’re the leader
in the industry and we’re the best at it,” says Superintendent
Terry Mintz. “It’s our bread and butter.”
However, when the economy dipped in 2008, the company
knew it needed to do something to supplement car hauler
sales. In 2012, the company started a Diversified Services
operation. The Diversified Services division utilized the
company’s engineering expertise and state-of-the-art
manufacturing technology to develop a medium-duty dump
trailer aimed specifically at the construction and landscaping
industries.
