Transporting vehicles can be a challenge that is filled with unforeseen intangibles that can culminate to an unsafe situation with potential damage to the vehicle along with endangering the individuals in the loading area. Whether it’s saving time or foregoing the use of products that can be heavy or difficult to maneuver, shortcuts are risky. Race Ramps, manufactured by Brute Technologies in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, develops products based on three key concepts: Stronger, Lighter, Safer. Race Ramps’ line of Trailer Ramps and accessories were designed for all aspects of the trailer loading and transport process of vehicles with an emphasis on those that are low-profile. Without any types of ramps, wood boards are often used which can be unsteady and unreliable. While a vehicle is attempting to ascend the wood boards, it can also inadvertently push the boards out from underneath it - slinging it off into the distance. Not only can this scenario cause damage to the vehicle, but individuals in the loading area can also be susceptible to injury. Loading a Low Profile Vehicle For safe loading, Trailer Ramps reduce the approach angle while being solidly constructed to support the vehicles up to 6,000 lbs. In addition, the ramps are durably coated and will not scoot or slide no matter the surface. Trailer Ramps range in length and height with combinations ranging from 4” to 11” high with 4° to 8° approach angles. The ramps are designed to safely assist a vehicle’s loading to prevent damage on both the front and back end. Once a vehicle is loaded, Trailer Ramps are easy to maneuver and store. With 100% solid-core, high-density foam construction, the ramps provide strength while remaining lightweight. 38 NATDA Magazine
