2018 was a big year for the North American Trailer Dealers Association with a record-breaking 519 dealerships attending the 2018
NATDA Trade Show & Convention. However, the association wasn’t the only one that saw significant growth patterns. While the entire
trailer industry saw a 1% growth across the United States, several states experienced a great deal of growth in trailer registrations.
Overall, 60% of states reported an increase in trailer registrations with an average of 6% increase per state. Last year, 860,530 trailers
registered through September, an increase of 6,576 compared to 2017.
With the help of Statistical Surveys, we looked at the areas where the trailer industry really shined in 2018. To do this, we compared
each state’s trailer registration numbers from January through September of 2017 with their 2018 counterparts.
