The Lexington Historical Society operates three house museums in Lexington, Massachusetts, each of which were involved with in the Battle of Lexington, the first battle of the American Revolution. When visiting the Lexington Historical Society history lovers can see the Buckman Tavern, where militia gathered and waited for the arrival of the British regulars from Boston; the Hancock-Clarke House, Paul Revere's destination in Lexington and where John Hancock and Sam Adams were staying in the days leading up to the battle; and the Munroe Tavern, which the British soldiers used as a field hospital for a short period of time during their retreat to Boston.

The MSU Museum is the science and culture museum at Michigan State University and the state’s first Smithsonian Affiliate. The museum features three floors of special collections and changing exhibits. The MSU Museum collects, preserves, studies and interprets cultural artifacts and natural history specimens, with collections numbering more than 1 million in four buildings on the MSU campus. The MSU Museum is committed to education, exhibitions, research and the building and stewardship of collections that focus on Michigan and its relationship to the Great Lakes and the world beyond.

Four Great Museums, One Great Location

Glore Psychiatric Museum -The award-winning Glore Psychiatric Museum chronicles the 130-year history of the state hospital and centuries of mental health treatment. It is located on the adjoining grounds of the original state hospital.

St. Joseph Museum - From Civil War artifacts to intricate Native American pottery and rare dolls, the St. Joseph Museum has a story to share with everyone.

Black Archives Museum - The Black Archives Museum showcases the achievements and contributions of St. Joseph, Missouri’s, African-American citizens. Exhibits span the Civil War, jazz legends known worldwide, sports heroes and local individuals whose civic and community leadership have changed our lives.

Doll Museum - The interactive Doll Museum exhibits at the St. Joseph Museum explore dolls and toys across gender, culture, and generations.
