• Nova has become more and more lovable this season for me ( except the time she came for Darla because she was pissed at Ralph Angel ). I ’ m yearning to learn why she has been “ over ” Black men for years when it comes to dating . There ’ s certainly a reason .
• I want Charley to figure out what she really wants in life . Like , I want her to find what truly makes her happy and stay in that space . She has lived for Davis and Micah ’ s happiness already . Her turn .
• Ralph Angel got on my nerves for about three consecutive episodes , but BEYYBEH ( in my best New Orleans drawl ), he redeemed himself a bit in the mid-season finale . I say “ a bit ” because I don ’ t know if I can trust him . My heart can ’ t take another emotional roller coaster ride .
• Darla is still my BFF . She has my heart and has had it from Season 1 , Episode 1 .
I got answers to many of my questions from Season 1 . It ’ s like the Queen Sugar writers knew to give me what I needed or pay for some anxiety medication . Though the mid-season finale storylines seemed a bit rushed , I still enjoyed the ride . It felt like I was missing an episode between this one and the previous one . However-comma , Queen Sugar is the best thing to happen to OWN and has blessed this storytelling TV fanatic ’ s life .
