“ I immediately pulled this novel out print in 2001 at the request of my teenage son . He warned me that I couldn ’ t put my entire tragic story in one book as it would bring the reader so low they couldn ’ t get back up again . It took 15 years for me to heal to the point where I could rewrite She Touched My Soul from a survivor ’ s point of view instead of the victim and made it a totally new novel . -- Naleighna Kai
What can you say about a book that has answered so many questions that you couldn ’ t for most of your adult years ? Is the word “ phenomenal ” or could this book just be my inspiration ?
She Touched My Soul did exactly that in many different ways , the cover has so many different hues of blue it totally sets the spiritual mood . The title grabbed me because I remember needing my “ Soul Touched .” The characters in this book are so real , the situations are believable Maya is an attorney at law and in the courtroom all eyes are on her , but outside of it she makes herself invisible . Finding out the why ’ s and what ’ s that make Maya afraid of human touch is so frightening you wonder how she survived it . What explodes from Mykal ’ s invitation of dinner and conversing will have you crying , laughing and examining your own relationships and how healthy they are for you and your partner .
As I write this review tears form in my eyes . I will never forget the characters in this book or the author who brought them to us . Thank you , Sis , and yes your work is done .
