Do not let your heart be troubled
Each flick of the page turned while I had this song in my head that I continued to sing for Toni : “ Lead me , guide me along the way , Lord if you lead me I cannot stray .”
We meet several characters in Troubled Heart with broken hearts , our protagonist for one . She comes from a family of crime-fighting siblings . It ’ s almost the anniversary of Toni Reed ’ s assault almost two years ago . But she finds herself in the middle of a murder investigation and it appears that her ex is somehow involved .
As you read Troubled Heart there is one thing that is for sure ; things aren ’ t as they appear and people aren ’ t who they say they are . Book two of the Reed Family series and Moody doesn ’ t disappoint . Mystery and storytelling at its best .
My Rating : 5 Book Marks
The lesson I took away from this book : Sometimes we get so caught up in the questions like : what happened to us ?, or how do I protect myself so it doesn ’ t happen again ? However , all we have to reflect upon is God ’ s promises . In Psalm 34 we find these words “ The Lord is close to the broken-hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit ” ( Psalm 34:18 ).
