gripped the ledge of the window to steady herself. She looked over her shoulder and found his intense eyes focused on her. This man really has it bad. But the move had reduced the amount of pregnancies she would need to go through. She had originally counted the need to have seven children to make the amount she wanted. With this new development—two more and she would hit her goal. She folded her arms across her chest and pressed her back against the wall as she faced him. “My only requirement is that the baby comes first.” “Agreed.” Michelle’s jaw tightened the moment he said the word. She was probably noticing the huskiness of his voice. Then her lips lifted in something that was neither smile nor frown. She looked at Gina for a long moment, her expression closed and unreadable. For a split second Gina wondered if she had made a major mistake. * * * The night those “special” sessions with Sanjay was set to end would be a time Gina would never forget. Sanjay stroked a hand across the feather soft hair of his baby daughter, watching as she took nourishment from her biological mother. Gina looked at him, searching for signs of jealousy that never materialized. She wondered what he really felt in all of this. But he never rushed her in the process.
