What prompted the switch from urban
fiction to Christian Fiction?
When my walk in life changed, so did my
writing. When I accepted Jesus Christ into my heart—into my life—
as my Lord and Savior, I wasn’t able to do some of the things I used to do.
I wasn’t able to say some of the things I used to say. I wasn’t able to go
some of the places I used to go. Lo and behold, I wasn’t able to write some
of the things I used to write.
I was a little iffy at first about changing genres. I didn’t know all of the
challenges ahead of me. Writing under a new genre and a new name
meant building a new audience. Sure a few of my dedicated readers may
make the transition with me, but I couldn’t be certain of that.
