D
uring the first week in No-
vember, a who’s who of
Brokerage General Agencies,
Carrier Executives, Technology Ex-
perts, and other industry movers and
shakers will share their remarkable
insight on the latest trends in the life
insurance world. The NAILBA Annual
Meeting is where independent bro-
kerage comes to meet, discuss and
exchange ideas.
The life insurance industry contin-
ues to evolve. What didn’t seem pos-
sible a few years ago is now a way
of doing business or soon will be.
As one past attendee noted, “This is
unquestionably the best gathering
of life insurance professionals in the
country, and it’s a great opportunity
to confirm and learn about the latest
trends and recent best practices.” By
any measure, NAILBA’s Annual Meet-
ing is the industry’s premier annual
event, and largest gathering of inde-
pendent life brokerage agencies.
There has been so much feedback
from membership, sponsors and ex-
hibitors from past annual meetings
and applied tweaks moving forward,
our 2018 Annual Meeting is sure to
be an experience!

NAILBA is proud to announce Play-
back NAILBA! Combining the highest
standard of quality in video con-
ference recording and live stream-
ing, Playback NAILBA will bring our
37th Annual Meeting to life with
trademark dependability and timely
delivery of our workshops and ses-
sions. ALL members of NAILBA will
have the opportunity to review the
Annual Meeting highlights, sponsor
interviews, general sessions, and
workshops in the convenience of
their home or office. Playback NAIL-
BA will be available to all NAILBA 37
attendees for up to three months, at
no cost, following the Annual Meet-
ing. There will also be an opportunity
for those unable to attend (admin-
istrative staff, operations team, case
managers, etc.) to download Play-
back NAILBA recordings.
To increase foot traffic and show
support for our 100+ exhibitors and
sponsors, NAILBA has relocated the
Opening Reception to the New An-
nual Meeting Exhibit Hall. Thanks to
the continued support of Nationwide,
this year’s Exhibit Hall will open with
a ribbon cutting, libations toast, and
two hours of attendee excitement
with entertainment, open bar, and
a reimagined food offering. Come
hungry for dim sum stations, seafood
displays, live guacamole stations,
fish tacos, live crème brûlée stations,
nitro ice cream, and whole suckling
pigs (yes, you read that right). Over
500 meeting attendees in one lo-
cation for approximately two hours
with food, drinks and entertainment.
What a New networking experience
this promises to be!
NAILBA has invested over $10,000
in attendee prizes and exhibit hall
experiences as part of the New Ex-
hibitor Passport Program. Prizes from
Apple Watches to laptop computers
to iRoombas to Bose Noise Canceling
Headphones to gift cards, attend-
ees will be encouraged to visit par-
ticipating exhibitors for a passport
stamp. Completed passports will be
entered in the Friday prize raffle.
Fore! The return of golf to the
NAILBA Annual Meeting is confirmed.
Spend your final day of the NAILBA
Annual Meeting enjoying a round of
golf on Disney’s Magnolia course in-
teracting with NAILBA members in a
social setting. Whether you’re a com-
petitive player or just want to have
some fun on the links, relationships
are built on the golf course. Is your
swing not ready for a 7,000-yard
course? We can help! Be sure and
loosen up and visit our New Golf
Simulator and Swing Evaluator in the
New N37 Exhibit Hall experience.
Given the date proximity of our
Annual Meeting to the Veterans Day
Holiday, NAILBA will salute all mem-
bers who have served in the United
States Military. General James T. Con-
way (Ret.), the 34th Commandant of
the United States Marine Corps and
former Director of Operations for the
Joint Chiefs of Staff, will serve as a
keynote speaker for NAILBA’s first-ev-
er Military Appreciation Luncheon. All
NAILBA 37 attendees and their fami-
lies are encouraged to attend and be
part of this tribute.
Have you reviewed the workshop
schedule? From advocacy to under-
writing, cybersecurity to employ-
ment law, leadership development
to increasing producers and reve-
nue, you will walk away from each
presentation feeling more informed
and inspired about using traditional
and digital marketing tools, evolving
technologies, carrier operations, con-
tent and data to reach target audi-
ences and grow market share.
NAILBA 37 promises to be a New
and rewarding experience! In addition
to our line-up of distinguished speak-
ers – Lou Holtz, Mark Schulman and
Louie Anderson – attendees will enjoy
a wealth of networking opportunities,
golf and tennis, evening entertain-
ment, our Annual Mooers Awards Re-
ception and Dinner, a 70’s Disco Party
and much more. Oh yeah, and having
Walt Disney World, Universal Studios
and Sea World all near by and during
the Halloween season is sure to cre-
ate some attendee magic!
Did you know?
NAILBA member agencies repre-
sent over 250,000 producers who
deliver more than $20 billion dollars
in first-year life, health and annuity
insurance premiums annually. These
numbers represent why the indepen-
dent distribution industry is a vital
hub between consumers, carriers, and
the insurance marketplace. The NAIL-
BA Annual Meeting is a celebration of
our industry’s continued growth and
success.
Welcome to the New NAILBA An-
nual Meeting and the New NAILBA
Experience!
See you in Orlando!
