Mê Thú Cưng Hướng dẫn Quyền chủ thú cưng 16 23 V Oh no, a lot of ticks on my body….what should i do? Dog owners may face with this problem even though they take several approaches to prevent their dogs from tick and flea i.e. bathing, spot on medicine, spray, injection or any other methods. However, they still cannot get rid of tick and flea from their dogs. This makes owners worry about some disease that can be transmitted by those insects like blood parasite also known as tick fever which is sometime fetal. So, what should we do? At first, we need to understand that life cycle of tick and flea does not exist only on animals’ body, yet more importantly is in environment i.e. backyard or cage and this is the reason why it is very difficult to prevent them. What we should do is to start looking at our pets first. There are several ways to control tick and flea infestation on dogs’ body such as injection, spot on medicine and bathing. All different approaches that owners apply can certainly prevent tick and flea, but it really depends on type, concentration, frequency and variety of the medicine being administered. Generally, vet would recommend alternating several approaches together. For example, injection alternate with spot on and combine with bathing once a week. After checking our pets then we need to examine the environment which is not just the backyard, but also include floor, corner of the room or damp area. Preventing method is to normally clean the area that your dogs stay and to use the products which can kill tick and flea as well. If we get all the things done, will we be able to eliminate tick and flea? Although we did all the things we still cannot eliminate tick and flea for a hundred percent, but this will tremendously reduce the amount of tick and flea and the risk of having tick fever. Finally, if you are worried that your dogs may have blood parasites from tick and flea infestation, the best way to do is to take your dogs to see veterinarian so that your dogs will be examined thoroughly. iVet Center, Hanoi (Veterinarian Clinic) 22 Số 05 | Tháng Chín & Mười & Mười Một 2014 | petmagazine.vn TOC | Bài đã xuất bản
