early teens when her family
moved to Brooklyn, New
York. She later moved to
Alberta, then to Montréal
where she worked and
studied before relocating
to the Cree Northern
Reservation, then to British
Columbia, Canada which
has been her home since
1998. Delores completed
an undergraduate program
at the University of the
