The Causeway
The two largest islands of the Turks and Caicos are North
Caicos and Middle Caicos and although sparsely populated,
they are connected by a causeway which was constructed
in 2007. Prior to this, movement between the islands was
only possible by boat. Today, two lanes take vehicles along
this 1.6kms, an easy drive on a well-maintained road, which
facilitates comfortable travel between these two islands.
