Cayo Francisqui
The coral island Cayo Francisqui is close to the main island, Gran Roque. It is hugely popular
with tourists who usually get there via a quick boat ride from Gran Roques. Like most of the
Los Roques islands, Cayo Francisqui is naturally beautiful with clear water and sparkling white
sand. There is something ethereal about this lit tle island. Beauty lies all around you. With
water so crystal-clear, it is easy to see the fishes as they energetically swim along, seemingly
enjoying their island home as much as the visitors that flock to her shores. Although the
Caribbean sunshine can be quite searing and shaded areas are not many, the beauty of the
surroundings make up quite handsomely for any fleeting discomfort that may arise.
