Food & Spirits Festival
This year, the prestigious event coincided with World
Tourism Day, September 27th and continued until
September 30th. It presented another opportunity for
local and international chefs to connect and delight
patrons with their culinary expertise.
On the Friday night of this annual event, the signature
Village Gourmand welcomed more than 65 participants:
local and international chefs, restaurants and food and
beverage producers. Over 800 guests came out to try
the creative dishes prepared by talented chefs whose
emphasis was on the use of local ingredients.
Saturday, the event continued with a lunch at the
beautiful Mupanah Museum restaurant with local Chef
David Destinoble and two International guest Chefs
Janelle Peterson and Manny Slomovitz. Later on that
night, at the Beautiful Asu Lounge of the Karibe Hotel,
their Signature Dinner with the Stars featured an 8 course,
all inclusive dinner with international Chefs Digby
Stridiron from St Croix, Chef Jouvens Jean and Chef
Gregory Gourdet top chef finalist.
On Sunday, the Festival hosted two brunches with
notable Chefs Irie from Jamaica, Max Hardy from Detroit,
Cybille St.Aude from NYC.
This glamourous event will be repeated next year.
