PLACES OF INTEREST Carbet Falls First noted in a log by Christopher Columbus in 1493, Carbet Falls are made up of 3 spectacular waterfalls etched into volcanic slopes. Although access to the 2nd waterfall is restricted due to earthquakes, it is still the easiest of the falls to reach and has a height of 110 meters. It is advised that only experienced trekkers should attempt to visit the 1st and 3rd falls. Hikers reward will be a soak in one of the many hot springs nearby. Photo Credit: Frances Chifrederi
