Places of Interest in The Bahamas

Thunderball Grotto
Made famous by being featured in 2
James Bond movies (Thunderball and
Never Say Never Again), Thunderball
Grotto is an intricate underwater maze
enclosed by high cave ceilings. The
ceilings have holes just large enough
to allow the sun to reflect off the water,
making the grotto one of the world’s
most favoured diving and snorkeling
experiences.

Andros Island
Home to the third largest barrier reef in the
world, Andros is also the Bahamas’ largest
land mass. Sometimes referred to as “the
bonefishing capital of the world”, Andros
is popular with fishermen but it is also
popular with nature lovers as it has a wide
diversity of birds in its forests, mud flats and
mangrove swamps. The reef of course also
makes it popular with divers.
