Want to explore St. Vincent and the Grenadines?

If you will rent a vehicle during your visit to St.
Vincent and the Grenadines, remember you drive
on the left.
Public transportation is also available. You will
surely spot the colourful mini buses which ply the
various routes in and out of the city and villages. If
you take one of those buses, when you get to your
destination, you will have to ask to driver to stop
the bus to let you get off, as it is likely there may
not be a designated bus stop in that area. Riding
on the local bus is an experience not to be missed
as it is a splendid opportunity to enjoy something
truly local.
Driving around the island can be daunting as the
roads are winding and narrow with not many
road signs to guide you along, but like many of
the other Caribbean islands, who need road signs
when the locals you meet are always willing and
quite capable of giving you clear directions to your
destination !
While there are both public transportation and
rentals to accommodate your exploration of the
island, if neither appeals to you, there are well-
informed and safe taxis to take you anywhere you
want to go on the island.
An adventurous way to spend your vacation in
St. Vincent and the Grenadines is to explore the
Grenadine islands which lie between St. Vincent in
the north and Grenada in the south.
Cruise through the 32 islands and cays which are
perhaps one of the Caribbean’s best kept secrets.
Each island offers something unique, yet similar.
They are all intrinsically beautiful, pristine, peaceful
and seemingly untouched - true gems in the
Caribbean Sea. Its harbours may be yacht-filled,
yet its white sandy beaches are never crowded.
On these islands, you are presented with a perfect
blend of luxury, if your budget allows and beautiful
simplicity.
There are various options for exploring these
islands. Based on your needs, you can charter a
boat, be it a yacht, catamaran or other, with or
without a skipper and crew. Take off for a week or
more, sailing through the islands or just escape for
a day or overnight, on a private charter. Whatever’s
your pleasure and budget, you’ll find something
on the Grenadine islands that will make your
vacation perfect in every way.
