meetings which assign specific responsibilities
of national coordination to the FRC. Thus, FRC is
responsible for sourcing national sponsorship,
documentation, promotions on a national level,
providing administrative support to communities,
providing financial and in-kind assistance where
possible, and organizing specific national events. Heritage Month include the official launch of
Creole Heritage Month, La Wenn Kwéyòl Pageant,
Jennes Kwéyòl Pageant, Kwéyòl Poetry, Drama and
Storytelling, Creole Arts Exhibition, Dité Kwéyòl,
Fèsten Tanbou and Vanndwédi Kwéyòl with
activities organized in all schools and in business
places throughout the country.
Jounen Kwéyòl 2017 will be celebrated on
Sunday 29th October in the host communities of
Babonneau (in the north), Vieux Fort (in the south),
La Resource, Dennery, (east) and Marigot (in the
West). For Jounen Kwéyòl itself, the activities in each
host community will be organized around a similar
programme of core activities which include a
kwéyòl church service, a traditional food and drink
fair, an indoor exhibition of Cultural items, outdoor
demonstrations of traditional technologies and
other cultural traditions and, spontaneous and
rehearsed cultural performances.
