Antigua’s Saturday Treats

You may want to hop into
your rental car and take a drive
around the island of Antigua on
a Saturday - great advice if your
interest is in sampling local food.
Saturday is the one day of the
week when you are sure to find
food stalls along various parts
of the island selling authentic
Antiguan food.
BBQ is a favourite, be it chicken
or pork, so is goat water and
conch water. You’ll find soup
with dumplings and salted meat;
chicken served with rice; ling fish;
fungee (polenta); fritters; chop-up
(vegetables cooked the Antiguan
way); blood pudding; pig-foot
souse and many other island
delicacies.
