Snorkeling in Martinique At the north of the island, Anse Couleuvre and Anse Ceron are two great snorkeling spots while the east coast’s Caravelle Peninsula also provides nice snorkelling opportunities. In the southwest, Les Anses d’Arlet is considered to be the best in Martinique and only minutes away from the Diamond Rock, which is a big rock proudly jutting out from the middle of the ocean, sparking in the sunlight - like a diamond. Divers will be pleased to find a beautiful ecosystem of tropical fish and coral hidden under the rock. You will also see sea turtles. Before you leave this area, stay for a while to enjoy the charming village of Le Diamant. Other popular snorkeling areas are: Anse Noire, with its lovely black-sand beach; Anse Dufour, said to have the prettiest white sandy beaches on the island, and Anse Figuier, the scenic beach with coconut palms lining its shore. Martinique as a snorkelling destination will delight both the professional and amateur snorkel enthusiast. Photo Credit: Chris Breikss MARTINIQUE
