Although she was never able to get even a call back in Dominica, when she began her secondary education on Anguilla she continued on with drive and determination. She wsa chosen to represent Anguilla three times at Leeward Islands Debating Competition, excelled at other speaking engagements and was Vice President of the Student Body Government. She graduated with awards in Economics, History and Principles of Business, and immediately secured an internship position at an Incubator Hub. At age 16, Nisha began exercising her entrepreneurship and philanthropist spirit by founding a non-profit Organisation named, ‘Mooted Globates’. One of the aims was to organize the Windward Islands Debating Competition (WIDC). She longed to relocate to Dominica to attend college and launch this initiative. However for personal reasons, and with the destruction caused by Hurricane Erika in Dominica in 2015 , she was unable to do so. She then secured a job with Malliouhana, an Auberge Resort, as a PBX Agent/ Telephone Operator and Boutique Sales Clerk. Nisha also dappled temporarily in modelling, but decided that building herself as a reporter was more important. Ultimately, Nisha yearns to establish herself as a renowned media personality and Philanthropist with a focus on impoverished women and children. Now at age nineteen, Nisha has collaborated with the Eastern Caribbean Debating Foundation who were ahead of her in their organisation of the WIDC, and the owner being impressed with her work, offered her the position of Executive Director. She also worked as a Radio Announcer for the Government of Anguilla, and now wishes to pursue her first degree in Journalism and International Relations. Her life motto is: I am of you, you are of me; we are together, we are one. How Nisha secured a job with the Government of Anguilla as a Radio Presenter at the age of 18 Due to financial constraints, Nisha was unable to follow through with her goal of relocating to attend college before age 18. She then re-strategized and begun focusing her efforts on hands-on training. Through integration within the community, she was offered a position of a local talk show host. Although it did not come to fruition, Nisha spent months producing that show which granted her some first-hand experience of Talk Show production and led to her being introduced to a manager at Radio Anguilla who became her mentor for a time. She began volunteering at the station two years in a row by providing commentary coverage of carnival events, as well as a being a judge for the Miss Anguilla Queen Contestant. Later she underwent news reading training. When her relocation into Europe failed last year, upon her return she became aware of a vacancy at Radio Anguilla. Nisha applied and was successfully Radio Anguilla’s new Presenter.
