Places of Interest, Belize.

Museum of Belize - Built in the 1800’s as a prison and remaining
one until 1993, the building that houses the
Museum of Belize was renovated with several
cells being restored as exhibits, complete with
a cat o’ nine tails and chain balls. As well as
prison exhibits, the museum displays different
aspects of the country’s history including
Mayan and colonial history and its association
with pirates and buccaneers.

ATM Cave At Caves Branch –
Actun Tunichil Muknal
Known as ATM cave, this is a unique river that
runs through karst foothills adjoining the Maya
Mountains. After running underground, these
waters cross 30 miles of tropical rainforest before
joining the Sibun River. A one day river run takes
you through numerous caves, some as long as 2
miles and offers experiences that no theme park
can ever truly rival.
