California Dunes and Lighthouse
Aruba’s California Lighthouse is predominant on many postcards and brochures
and was named after the SS California which sunk near this location. Although the
lighthouse is closed to the public, visitors can enjoy the views of the surrounding
rugged sand dunes which are beautifully speckled by cacti. The location is ideal for
spotting the difference between the rough seas to the east and the calmer waters
of the Caribbean to the west.
