Pinel Island
Kayaking is popular with tourists to St. Maarten and one of the most popular activities with a
rental kayak is to go on a tour of the nearby Pinel Island. It takes about 25 minutes to paddle to
the island so bear that in mind when deciding on the amount of time you will need with your
rental. There is also the option to get there by boat, but why boat when you can kayak? While
on the island, enjoy local food and drinks or go on a hike, explore! It’s simple, really - if you’re
on St. Maarten and you’ve got a day to spare, head on over to Pinel Island. It’s fun and there are
lots of photo ops!
