Lushan Country Life Nature Park
Here, seven acres of gardens and forests welcome tourists, with guides offering information on
various plants, trees and animal life which make the gardens their home. Many of the guides will
infuse fun and laughter into the tour by attempting to teach visitors some of the various bird calls
which can be heard while strolling through the grounds. East of Castries, Lushan Country Life can be
difficult to find and so if you are driving yourself, be sure to get clear directions before heading out.

With 19,000 acres of rainforest on the island,
every visitor should take the opportunity
to explore the forests by way of one of the
island’s many trails. Some, like the Barre de
L’Isle, whose ridge divides the island into
east and western halves is recommended
for birdwatchers. Other trails offer more
general experiences. Although you may
not see the endangered St Lucia parrot on
your chosen trail, you may hear one among
the always present forest noises, so listen
