Sand Bank Bay
Until a few years ago Sand Bank Bay was untouched by human hand and even today, the private
resort at the bay’s southern end is unobtrusive, allowing other visitors to the bay the opportunity to
enjoy the lovely sand and surroundings. Although the waves from the Atlantic can be large at times,
the cliffs at either end of the keeps the bay wll protected.
Mt. Liamuiga

The two-hour hike up to Mt. Liamuiga,
a dormant volcano which towers at
3,972 ft is a highly recommend activity
for visitors who love the thrill of a
climb. With or without a local guide,
you will find this a challenging hike so
be prepared and be aware that it will
be slippery at times - wearing proper
hiking shoes and carrying water with
you, is advised. The trail itself is easy
to follow and you’ll have magnificent
views as your reward when you get to
the top of the crater. If you’re feeling
more adventurous, descend into the
crater and explore. There is a lake at
the bootton and you may even spot a
monkey or two among the trees.
