Frigate Bird Sanctuary, Barbuda One of the largest nesting colonies in the Caribbean for Frigate Birds will be found in the Codrington Lagoon to which birders from around the world are attracted. Although it is probably these fascinating birds with their meter and a half wingspan and bright red gullets which attract many of the birders, there are also 150 other species of birds in this area, sharing the lagoon. places of interest 17 Mile Beach Barbuda Most people who stroll along this 17 mile stretch of pink-tinged sand will feel at one with nature on this quiet, unsullied island. Separating the Barbuda lagoon from the Caribbean Sea, this beach is lapped by pale, picturesque aqua waters which lures the visitor over on day trips. But you should bring your own supplies with you as beach vendors, restaurants and bars won’t be as prolific as on the sister island, Antigua. Photo Credit: TripAdvisor Traveller Photo Credit: Prayitno
