Sandy Cay
Sometimes referred to as “all-beach island” by the locals, this desert island is an islet located just off
Little Jost Van Dyke, sheltered by reefs on both its north and south sides. Almost up to the shore the
waters here are deep, which encourages boaters to drop by for picnics. Although sandy, the cay still
has several hiking trails and of course the waters surrounding it are great for kayaking and snorkeling.
Peter Island
Despite being the largest privately
owned island in the BVI, Peter Island, is
deserted except for the owner’s luxury
Peter Island Resort & Spa at Deadman’s
Bay and Sprat Bay. this island has
great hiking trails and five beaches
which offer snorkeling and diving. For
the visitors who would prefer not to
walk, many of the hiking trails are also
suitable for biking.
