Parliament Buildings
The Parliament Buildings of Barbados are
among the oldest parliament buildings
in the world and as they are made from
coral limestone in a neo-Gothic-style, it has
earned them a spot among the designated
UNESCO protected properties. Located in
the capital Bridgetown, the West Wing of
these buildings now houses the Barbados
Museum of Parliament and the Barbados
National Heroes Gallery.
Welchman Hall Gully
Created when the roof of a cave system
collapsed, Welchman Hall Gully is now
home to over 200 species of tropical
plants and families of green monkeys.
The gully, known as Barbados’s glittering
jewel, has attracted visitors for hundreds of
years who not only get to experience the
pristine and majestic rainforest, but also
get to enjoy some spectacular views of the
island’s east coast.

Flower Forest
Flower Forest covers 53 acres of what used
to be a sugar plantation in the hills of central
Barbados. Today it is a flower lover’s paradise
where they can stroll among lush foliage
on well-marked trails, enjoying colourful
shrubs, majestic palms and tropical flowers
including many colorful orchids. The forest
also offers great vistas of the surrounding
lush countryside and an informal café for
refreshments.
