PLACES OF INTEREST Pirates of Nassau Museum From 1690 to 1720 Nassau in the Bahamas was known as the Pirate capital due to its shallow harbor which prevented the British Navy’s Man-O’-War ships from entering. Featuring a re- created pirate ship, tavern, genuine gold coins, cutlasses, gems and flintlock pistols from that era and whilst below deck you may encounter Mary Read, Anne Bonny or even a famous pirate like Blackbeard.
