In March Aruba has the Aruban Culture Music “Himno “which has Afro-Caribbean influences as well as European “Waltz” music all in one. March- September we slowly slide into beach festival time, which brings out the Jazzy and soul artists who then can showcase their songs. In addition to the Soul Beach Festival and Jazz Festival, in between there are techno/ house music concerts. In short, we are a melting pot that, since1499 when Aruba was discovered, has made us what we are, “One Happy Island” with many styles of music. About where she performs With Kawura Roots Band, we perform at activities such as High Winds Aruba, Beach Volley Ball Tournament, One Love Concert and twice a year, we organize a free concert so local Reggae bands can showcase their music.
