Smith’s Reef
Although Bight Reef, at Coral Gardens is
a popular destination, the larger Smith’s
Reef offers opportunities to see some of
the larger varieties of sea-life that call a
reef home. As well as seeing the many
different brightly coloured fish, when
snorkeling here you will also be able to
see turtles, lobsters and stingrays. The
reef is considered suitable for all levels of
snorkelers.

Middle Caicos Caves
(Conch Bar Caves)
Located 24 miles east of Grace Bay, the
Conch Bar Caves is the largest limestone
cave system in the Caribbean. Although
the caves are gated, there are no clearly
defined paths or particularly good lighting,
and so you will need a guide to help you
explore these caverns which were thought
to be inhabited by the Lucayan people who
inhabited the islands around 1400 AD.

John Glenn Exhibit
At the south side of the Grand Turk Cruise
Center is the free attraction Splashdown
Grand Turk which celebrates NASAs close ties
to the islands. Here there is a full size replica
of John Glenn in a spacesuit, to scale, 20-foot-
tall Atlas rocket and many other exhibits from
the Mercury space program. At the exhibit
storyboards tell of NASA’s accomplishments,
its current programs and its plans for future
programs.
