To anyone wanting to visit St. Maarten,
I would suggest visiting during carnival
season in April/May because this is when
you really see our culture at its best.
The festival Village has so many local
restaurants, with finger licking dishes
such as Roti, BBQ chicken and ribs, with
rice and peas, friend plantain, Johnny
cake, pig-tail soup, Oyster soup, Conches,
dumplings and local rhum.
I would recommend that they eat at
Rosemarys in Marigot, Taloula Mangoes
in Philipsburg, Lee’s BBQ and Grill
Restaurant, Temptation, and Pineapple
Pete just to mention a few.
My favorite beaches are Le Gallion, Orient
Bay and Mullet Bay Beach.
Places to go include the Philipsburg
Boardwalk, Butterfly Farm, Lotterie Farm,
La Belle Creole Ruins and Island Water
World.
