The Hideaway
If you want to try some classic
Caribbean food, there is probably no
better place than the Hideaway. Here
you can taste the delicious, freshly
caught Saba Lobster, fish fritters, jerk
chicken or a variety of other tasty
dishes. Alternatively you can have a
Lionfish or Saba Lobster sandwich
whilst taking a drink at its well-stocked
bar. Here a variety of events take place
such as DJ Friday, Taco Tuesday and
games nights so is worth stopping by
to see what is going on.

Climb the Steps from
Ladder Bay to the Bottom
Up until just a few decades ago, everything
that came ashore on Saba had to be hauled
up the 800 steep steps from Ladder Bay to
The Bottom. Visitors today often make the
90 minute climb in order to imagine what
life must have been like on the island not too
long ago. Fortunately today there is a pier at
Fort Bay, making life easier for the islanders.

Five Square Art Gallery
The Five Square Art Gallery was established
to promote and display the work of artists,
not just from Saba but also from other places
in the Caribbean. Today it has a unique
collection of prints, paintings, carvings,
sculptures as well as silk screenings, cards
and sketches, all created by Caribbean artists.
As well as being able to buy one of these
artworks, there are other interesting items in
the gallery’s Everyt’ings Gift Shop.
